Making AccM Smarter with Software - Hubspot, Salesforce.com, & SAP
We've taken some time in July and August to reassess our day-to-day business tools and are happy with the results. This is the 1st blog on the new software, hope you like the changes!
AccM (Advanced Contractor Cost Management, Inc.) is now using the “Big 3” to conduct business.

I would appreciate your comments and best practices if you are using any or all of these tools.
SAP ECC
As an SAP Partner, we use SAP ECC to design and test our SAP Certified TOP Software. We have several instances like most SAP Customers. Since we all have SAP backgrounds, the software is very familiar and comfortable to use.
We primarily use the MM – ESM (External Services Management) functionality. This includes Purchasing Contracts, Outline Agreements, Service POs, and Service Entry Sheets (SES). TOP provides a portal for the owner and supplier to collaborate on Services Procurement, so we also utilize Workflow and Portal functionality.

I was introduced to Salesforce.com in early 2010. I was the project manager for an implementation that interfaced with SAP and was fortunate to attend the Admin class.
In addition to CRM functionality (Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities), Salesforce.com has the ability to customize objects. We have customized in order to track TOP Software development, support, and releases. We have been steadily increasing our use of Salesforce.com (SFDC) at AccM over the last year and have even used Chatter. Training has been minimal and AccM employees are able to navigate quite easily.

In July, we investigated and decided to start using Hubspot to help us manage our inbound marketing. I happened onto Hubspot during a web search and really enjoyed their free marketing training and tips. They also have a weekly internet show that is entertaining and educational.
After a few weeks of investigation, we signed up and have been very pleased. The online training is outstanding and has enabled me to take over our website management and feel comfortable with Landing Pages, Call-to-Action Buttons, Blogs, and much more. The analytics that Hubspot provides are outstanding and I’m excited to use the tools to nurture leads as they visit our website looking for Contractor Management Solutions.
I haven't traveled for work in several weeks, but did get away over July 4th to the Grand Tetons!
